Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Hindi

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Curriculum: CBSE / Integrated Curriculum

1. About the Role

Shrutham School International is looking for a passionate and qualified TGT Hindi Teacher who can develop students' Hindi language skills through engaging, student-centered, and experiential teaching practices. The teacher will be responsible for teaching Hindi at the middle-school level, developing language proficiency, encouraging appreciation of Indian literature and culture, and supporting the holistic development of students.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

- Plan and deliver effective Hindi lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students' skills in:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
- Use activity-based and experiential teaching methodologies.
- Encourage students to communicate confidently in Hindi.
- Integrate stories, poems, literature, debates, discussions, role plays and presentations into lessons.
- Use digital tools and interactive teaching methods wherever appropriate.
- Differentiate instruction according to students' learning levels.

Curriculum Planning
- Prepare annual, term-wise and lesson plans.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, projects and learning resources.
- Maintain curriculum documentation and academic records.
- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic timeline.
- Participate in curriculum planning and review meetings.

Assessment
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets and assessments.
- Evaluate student work accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain student assessment and progress records.
- Identify students who require additional academic support.

Classroom Management
- Create a positive, respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain appropriate classroom discipline.
- Encourage student participation and collaboration.
- Build students' confidence in using Hindi.

Literature & Cultural Learning
- Introduce students to age-appropriate Hindi literature, poetry and stories.
- Promote appreciation of Indian languages, literature and cultural heritage.
- Encourage participation in Hindi-related competitions and activities.
- Support Hindi Diwas and other school cultural programmes.




- Integrate relevant Indian Knowledge Systems and cultural perspectives into learning where appropriate.

Parent & Student Communication
- Communicate student progress professionally with parents.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings.
- Provide appropriate academic guidance to students.
- Address student learning concerns in coordination with the academic team.

School Responsibilities
- Participate in assemblies, celebrations, exhibitions and school events.
- Support house activities and co-curricular programmes.
- Participate in field trips and educational activities when assigned.
- Undertake examination, invigilation and other academic duties.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and departments.

1. Educational QualificationsEssential

- Bachelor's Degree with Hindi as a subject / relevant Hindi specialization, as applicable to the school's prescribed qualification requirements.
- B.Ed. or equivalent recognized teacher-training qualification.

Preferred
- Master's Degree in Hindi.
- CTET/TET qualification, where applicable.
- Experience with CBSE curriculum.
- Additional training in language pedagogy.
- Experience with experiential or inquiry-based learning.

Note: The final qualification combination should be verified against the applicable CBSE teacher-qualification requirements before appointment.

1. Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Experience teaching middle-school students is preferred.
- CBSE school experience will be an advantage.
- Fresh candidates with strong qualifications and demonstrated teaching ability may also be considered.
