Job Purpose The TGT English will be responsible for teaching English to middle and secondary school students, developing their language proficiency, reading and writing skills, critical thinking, and confidence in communication. The teacher will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment while ensuring academic progress and holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach English Language and Literature to assigned classes.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
- Use cutting-edge and student-centred teaching methodologies.
- Integrate appropriate digital tools and teaching resources into classroom instruction.
- Provide differentiated learning opportunities based on students' abilities and learning needs.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes as required.
1. Lesson Planning & Assessment
- Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly, and daily lesson plans.
- Develop worksheets, assignments, projects, quizzes, and other learning resources.
- Conduct periodic assessments and maintain accurate student records.
- Analyse assessment results and implement strategies to improve student performance.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Prepare students effectively for school and external examinations.
1. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation and respectful communication.
- Monitor student attendance, behaviour, and academic progress.
- Address classroom concerns appropriately and report serious issues to the concerned authority.
- Strictly follow all school policies, including child safeguarding and the No Touch Policy.
1. Student Development
- Encourage students to participate in debates, elocution, creative writing, spelling competitions, quizzes, literary activities, and other co-curricular programmes.
- Develop students' confidence, communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance.
- Identify students who require additional support and work with the HOD/coordinator to address their needs.
1. Parent Communication
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' academic performance and development.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings.
- Provide accurate and constructive feedback on student progress.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
1. Academic & Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, student portfolios, and other required documentation.
- Complete all academic and administrative tasks within the prescribed timelines.
- Attend staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, examinations, school events, and other assigned duties.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental activities.
- Support curriculum planning and implementation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal, Vice Principal, or HOD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in English from a recognised university.
- B.Ed.
or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Additional teaching certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school.
- Experience teaching middle and secondary school students is preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
