Test Architect

Location: SMILES 4, Bengaluru, Bengaluru

Years of Experience: 10-13 Years

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Test Architect to define and drive the overall testing strategy, architecture, standards, and quality engineering practices across applications and technology platforms.

The Test Architect will work closely with engineering, product, DevOps, security, and business teams to establish scalable test solutions, improve automation coverage, enable continuous testing, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Utilize Playwright for automated testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring high standards of software delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project success.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement and promote best practices in project management and software development methodologies.

Mandatory Skills:





- Strong expertise in Playwright for automated testing.
- Solid experience in software testing and test automation architecture .
- Expertise in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium , or equivalent.
- Strong API testing experience using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI , or equivalent.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C# .
- Experience designing automation frameworks using industry-standard design patterns.
- Strong understanding of API, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures .
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Experience with Git and source-code management practices .
- Good understanding of SQL and database testing.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with other testing frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience in stakeholder management and client interactions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10-13 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development.
