Technical Program Manager — Healthcare Deployments

Function: Implementation & Delivery | Reports to: Sr Director, Client Solutions | Location: Bengaluru

About Augnito

Augnito is next-generation Voice AI for healthcare. Our cloud-based speech recognition gives clinicians ergonomic data entry with 99% accuracy, with no voice profile training, from any device, anywhere. Built from the outset in partnership with clinicians using human-centred design, Augnito supports a wide range of clinical vocabularies and workflows, halves clinical reporting and admin time, removes transcription delays, and helps prevent physician burnout.

Augnito is deployed at 300+ hospitals and health systems across 20+ countries, including the US, UK and Canada — delivered both directly and through EMR, HIS and distribution partners.

About the Role

We are hiring a Technical Program Manager to own the deployment of Augnito into enterprise hospital environments — from contract signature through go-live, adoption and stable handover.

This is a customer-facing delivery role in a clinical setting, not a back-office project coordination role. You will be the single accountable owner of each implementation: running the plan, holding the dates, managing hospital IT and clinical stakeholders, coordinating our Product, Engineering, QA, Customer Success and Support teams, and working alongside EMR/HIS and channel partners who co-deliver with us.

You will have the authority to escalate, to raise change requests when scope moves, and to recommend holding a go-live when readiness criteria are not met. We expect you to use it.

What success looks like in the first 12 months

- Implementations land on the committed go-live date, or the date is re-baselined early and deliberately rather than slipping.
- Clinicians are actively using Augnito 30 and 90 days after go-live — not just provisioned.
- Our implementation playbook, runbooks and readiness checklists are materially better than when you joined, and repeatable across geographies and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Project ownership and governance

- Own end-to-end implementation projects from kick-off through go-live, hypercare and formal handover to Customer Success.
- Build and maintain project plans, milestone schedules, RAID logs, go-live runbooks and readiness checklists; keep a single source of truth for every project.
- Run governance cadence with customers and internally: kick-off, weekly working calls, steering updates, go/no-go review, post-implementation review.
- Manage scope actively. Where customer requests fall outside the agreed scope, raise a documented change request with effort and timeline impact rather than absorbing it silently.
- Identify, log and mitigate risks and dependencies early; escalate blockers with a recommended course of action, not just a status.
- Maintain implementation milestone status for commercial purposes, including milestones tied to invoicing and revenue recognition.

Technical delivery and integration

- Gather clinical, business and technical requirements and translate them into an implementation plan, integration design, and test scope.
- Coordinate integration delivery with EMR, HIS, RIS and PACS systems — including HL7 v2 message flows (ADT / ORM / ORU), FHIR and REST API integrations, and embedded or in-application deployment models.
- Coordinate endpoint and environment readiness:

Windows and virtualised desktop deployment (Citrix / VDI / RDS), group policy and software distribution, mobile app rollout via MDM, SSO and directory integration (SAML / Entra ID / AD), user provisioning, network allowlisting, bandwidth and latency validation, and microphone or dictation hardware.
- Plan and manage migration from legacy dictation and transcription workflows, including existing templates, macros, auto-texts, and custom vocabulary.
- Coordinate configuration, internal testing, customer UAT and production cutover; define entry and exit criteria for each gate.
- Validate speech accuracy and workflow fit by specialty during UAT; route accuracy gaps, vocabulary needs and product issues to the Clinical Language, Product and Engineering teams with reproducible detail.

Clinical adoption and change management

- Plan phased rollout by department, specialty and site rather than treating go live as a single event.
- Identify and enable clinical champions and super-users; design training for clinicians, secretarial and transcription staff, and hospital IT.
- Run go-live support — in office or remote floor-walking, early-week check-ins, targeted re-training for low-adoption cohorts.
- Own a defined hypercare period after go-live with explicit exit criteria before handover to Customer Success and Support.

Partner and channel delivery

- Deliver implementations jointly with EMR/HIS vendors, integration partners, system integrators and distributors — managing dependencies you do not directly control.
- Enable and quality-assure partner-led implementations: provide playbooks, training, readiness criteria and review gates so partners can deploy Augnito to our standard.
- Act as the delivery-side point of contact for partner technical teams during integration build and certification.

Compliance, security and privacy

- Run compliance and security readiness as a project workstream, not an afterthought — data protection agreements and BAAs, data residency and processing requirements, and customer security reviews.
- Coordinate responses to hospital security questionnaires and assurance frameworks with the Security and Legal teams, including HIPAA (US), UK NHS DSPT and DTAC, PIPEDA/PHIPA (Canada), the DPDP Act (India), GDPR, and ISO 27001 / SOC 2 evidence requests.
- Ensure clinical-safety and information-governance signoffs required by the customer are secured before go-live.

Scale and continuous improvement

- Improve the implementation playbook, templates, runbooks and estimation model based on what each project teaches us.
- Support pre-sales where required: implementation scoping, effort and timeline estimation, input to statements of work, and RFP/RFI delivery sections.
- Contribute to reporting on portfolio health, delivery capacity and recurring root causes of delay.

How Performance Will Be Measured

- On-time go-live rate against the baselined plan, and milestone adherence.
- Time-to-go-live and time-to-first-value from contract signature.

- Clinician adoption on day 30 and day 90 — active users and usage depth against the target user base.
- Implementation of CSAT / NPS from customer and partner stakeholders.
- Hypercare ticket volume and time to hypercare exit.
- Quality and reuse of implementation documentation and playbook assets.

Required Experience and Skills

- 5–8 years of experience delivering enterprise software implementations, professional services or technical programme management, including at least 2 years in a customer-facing delivery owner role.
- Demonstrated experience implementing software into healthcare provider environments, or equivalent regulated-enterprise delivery experience with clear evidence you can operate in a clinical setting.
- Track record of running multiple concurrent enterprise implementations across different customers, time zones and readiness levels.
- Practical working knowledge of integration concepts: APIs, authentication, message flows, environments, and testing. You do not need to write the integration, but you must be able to challenge an estimate, read a message spec and spot a bad assumption.
- Ability to hold a professional line with senior external stakeholders — hospital CIOs, CMIOs, IT managers, clinical leads and partner delivery heads — under schedule pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; the discipline to write status that is accurate and unwelcome rather than comfortable and vague.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; high personal organization and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Candidates from hospital IT, clinical informatics, radiology, health information management or clinical backgrounds who have moved into vendor-side delivery are explicitly welcome.

Preferred

- Direct experience with EMR/HIS/RIS/PACS integrations and HL7 v2 or FHIR message flows.
- Experience deploying to virtualised desktop environments (Citrix, VDI, RDS) and managing endpoint software rollout at scale.
- Experience with speech recognition, clinical documentation, transcription, or medical coding workflows.
- Experience delivering through channel partners, distributors, or system integrators.
- Exposure to healthcare privacy and security regimes (HIPAA, NHS DSPT/DTAC, GDPR, DPDP Act) and to ISO 27001 or SOC 2 environments.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Tooling: Jira / Asana / ClickUp, Smartsheet or MS Project, Postman, basic SQL, advanced Excel or Sheets, Salesforce / HubSpot / Zoho.

Working Model and Practicalities

- Portfolio: typically, 4–6 concurrent implementations of varying size and complexity.
- Geographies: customers across India, the Middle East, UK, and others. Expect regular working overlaps with Middle East and UK time zones.
- Travel: This role will require travel to customer sites (domestically and/or internationally) for go-lives and key customer or partner milestones.
- Reports to the Sr Director, Client Solutions. As the implementation function grows, this role is the intended path to leading the team.

Why This Role Matters

Our technology works. The difference between a hospital that pilots Augnito and a hospital that runs on Augnito is almost entirely implementation — integration quality, clinician trust, and someone competent holding the whole thing together. That is this job.
