Role Overview:

We are looking for a Technical Director - LiDAR & Geospatial Technologies to help build and lead the technical foundation of Latrics’ new EdTech division.

You will design industry-relevant technical programs, hands-on projects, labs, and curriculum around LiDAR, GIS, geospatial and autonomous technologies.

You will also mentor instructors, define technical standards, and ensure our programs are practical, current, and aligned with real-world industry applications.

This is a builder role - you will help shape what we teach, how we teach it, and what students build.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop LiDAR & Geospatial Technology curriculum and learning programs.
- Create hands-on projects, labs, assignments, and practical assessments.
- Ensure technical content is industry-relevant and up to date.
- Develop real-world use cases across LiDAR, GIS, mapping, and autonomous technologies.




- Set technical standards for programs, projects, and learning outcomes.
- Mentor and guide instructors and technical team members.
- Continuously improve programs based on industry requirements and emerging technologies.
- Build and scale the technical systems, tools, and workflows required for the EdTech division.

Requirements / Skills:

- B.Tech / M.Tech from an IIT.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in LiDAR, GIS, or Geospatial Technologies.
- Strong understanding of LiDAR, GIS, point-cloud processing, and geospatial workflows.
- Experience with geospatial tools and real-world applications.
- Ability to design practical, project-based technical learning.
- Strong technical communication and ability to teach and mentor others.
- A builder mindset with experience taking projects from idea to execution.
- Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment and handling ambiguity.
- Public technical work such as Research, or contributions is a plus.
