About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead to lead the design, development, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise applications across Enwheel Technologies.

The Tech Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the development team, defining application architecture, reviewing code, managing integrations, ensuring development quality and translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

The role requires someone who can combine solid Python development capabilities with solution architecture, team leadership and an understanding of ERP/CRM-driven business processes.

The candidate will work closely with management, business users, functional consultants and developers to deliver technology projects across businesses operating in agriculture, supply chain, retail, renewable energy, mining and other sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Lead the technical design and architecture of ERP, CRM, e-commerce and custom enterprise applications.
- Convert business requirements into appropriate technical architecture, modules, APIs, workflows and database structures.
- Make decisions regarding technology stack, application architecture and development methodology.
- Ensure applications are scalable, secure, maintainable and performance-oriented.
- Identify opportunities to use common technology components across multiple group businesses.

2. Python & Application Development

- Provide hands-on technical leadership for applications developed using Python.
- Guide development using frameworks such as Django, Flask and FastAPI.
- Design and review REST APIs, backend services, integrations and database architecture.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and performance issues.
- Participate in development of critical modules where required.
- Ensure appropriate application security, authentication, authorization and data-validation practices.

3. ERP / CRM & Odoo/Zoho Integration

- Lead customization and integration requirements involving Odoo and Zoho platforms.
- Understand business workflows across Sales, CRM, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, HR, Projects and Supply Chain.
- Design integrations between ERP/CRM platforms and custom-built applications.
- Manage API-based integrations with third-party applications and services.
- Work with functional teams to determine when requirements should be addressed through configuration, customization or independent application development.

4. Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor a team of Python Developers, Full-Stack Developers and other technical resources.
- Allocate development tasks based on project priorities and team capabilities.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance.
- Support developers in troubleshooting complex technical problems.




- Establish development standards and coding guidelines.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend technical training for team members.
- Participate in technical interviews and selection of developers when required.

5. Project Delivery

- Take technical ownership of projects from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
- Prepare development plans, technical milestones and delivery timelines.
- Monitor development progress and identify technical or delivery risks.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders and functional teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Manage multiple technology projects across different group companies simultaneously.

6. Code Quality & Development Governance

- Establish and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews before production deployment.
- Ensure appropriate use of Git and version-control practices.
- Maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, databases and integrations.
- Implement appropriate development, testing, UAT and production deployment processes.
- Reduce technical debt and improve maintainability of existing applications.

7. Database & API Management

- Design and optimize databases using PostgreSQL / MySQL and other appropriate technologies.
- Ensure efficient database structures, queries and indexing.
- Develop and manage REST APIs, JSON-based services and third-party integrations.
- Ensure data integrity across interconnected applications.
- Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.

8. Deployment, Cloud & DevOps

- Guide application deployment and production environment management.
- Work with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Implement or supervise containerized deployment using Docker.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment will be advantageous.
- Ensure appropriate backup, monitoring, security and disaster-recovery practices.

9. Business Process Digitization Work with business teams to understand and digitize operational processes across areas such as:

- Procurement and Vendor Management
- Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Sales and CRM
- B2B/B2C Order Management
- E-commerce
- Supply Chain and Logistics
- Finance and Accounting
- HR and Employee Workflows
- Project Management
- Management Dashboards and MIS

The Tech Lead should be capable of understanding the business problem first and then determining the most appropriate technology solution.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django / Flask / FastAPI.




- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL and relational database design.
- Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs and JSON services.
- Experience with third-party system integrations.
- Valuable understanding of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
- Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices.
- Experience with application architecture, debugging and performance optimization.
- Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
- Exposure to AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Experience with Docker; Kubernetes exposure is desirable.
- Understanding of CI/CD and production deployment processes.

ERP / Enterprise Application Skills Candidates with the following experience will be strongly preferred:

- Odoo development, customization or integration
- Zoho CRM / Zoho ecosystem integration
- ERP or CRM implementation projects
- E-commerce integrations
- Inventory / Warehouse Management Systems
- Supply Chain Management applications
- Finance / Accounting system integrations
- Workflow and approval automation
- MIS and management dashboard development

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 69 years of software development experience, preferably with significant Python experience.
- Minimum 23 years of experience leading developers or technically owning projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering applications from requirement stage through production deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
