Role Description The Tech & AI Lead at Verticl.in is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for defining and implementing the company’s technology and AI roadmap, including designing system architecture, selecting tools and frameworks, and ensuring scalability and security of core platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the development team, reviewing code, integrating AI-driven features such as recommendation engines and pricing models, and maintaining data pipelines and APIs.

The Tech & AI Lead collaborates closely with product, business, and operations teams to translate real estate and group-buying requirements into robust technical solutions,



while continuously monitoring performance, optimizing systems, and introducing new innovations.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in software engineering, including experience with modern backend and frontend frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database design.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and tools, such as predictive modeling, recommendation systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Background in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including deployment, monitoring, and security on major cloud providers.
- Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage sprints, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability in product-oriented thinking, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, ideally in marketplaces or fintech/proptech.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a structured approach to documentation and technical decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment and familiarity with India’s real estate or financial services ecosystem is an advantage.
