Purpose/Objective

Area In Charge - Electrical (Distribution & Solar) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the electrical distribution systems and solar installations within the port facilities.

This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of electrical systems, minimizes downtime, and adheres to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Electrical Distribution System Maintenance: Supervise and manage the maintenance of electrical distribution networks, including transformers, circuit breakers, distribution panels & implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing of equipment to avoid unscheduled downtime.

Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budget for mechanical maintenance activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.

Solar Power System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and performance monitoring of the port’s solar power generation systems, ensuring optimal energy production & Coordinate with external service providers for the maintenance and repair of solar power equipment when necessary.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all electrical maintenance work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations.

Risk Assessment: Conduct safety audits and risk assessments of electrical installations and maintenance practices.

Troubleshooting & Repairs: Lead the troubleshooting of electrical system faults, including distribution systems and solar equipment, ensure prompt, effective repairs & respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of service with minimal impact to port operations.

Energy Management & Optimization:



Monitor and assess energy usage and electrical system performance to identify opportunities for energy conservation & collaborate with energy managers to implement energy-saving initiatives and reduce operational costs Inventory Management: Manage and monitor inventory levels for electrical spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance.

Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary resources are available and properly maintained to support continuous electrical system operations.

Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors for procurement, servicing, maintenance contracts & ensure that vendors meet the required standards for quality and timeliness in servicing electrical systems and solar installations.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and energy consumption data.

Brand Positioning: Uphold Adani's brand values in all interactions and build strong relationships to fortify brand trust and loyalty.

Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Work Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in electrical system maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role in the port or industrial sector.
