About Aether Semiconductors

Aether Semiconductors is a fast-growing semiconductor company based in Mohali, currently a team of about 40 people and scaling. We're building a young, high-caliber team (largely from IITs) and looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own hiring for the company as we grow.

Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist with 2+ years of experience to independently own the complete, end-to-end recruitment cycle for Aether - from raising a requisition to the candidate's first day. As our current team of ~40 people continue to grow, this role will be the single point of ownership for hiring across all functions (technical and non-technical), ensuring every open position is filled with the right person, on time. Since semiconductor hiring involves niche technical roles and a talent pool quite different from mainstream IT/tech hiring, candidates with prior exposure to this industry (or closely related hardware/deep-tech domains) will be at a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the complete end-to-end recruitment cycle for Aether - from understanding the hiring need to final onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to define job requirements, role scope, and ideal candidate profiles
- Draft and post job descriptions across relevant job portals, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn Recruiter, employee referrals, and networking
- Screen resumes and conduct initial HR/screening interviews to assess fit
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and panels across all rounds
- Manage the candidate pipeline end-to-end, ensuring a smooth, timely, and professional candidate experience
- Negotiate offers, manage salary discussions, and roll out offer letters
- Own the offer-to-joining process - documentation, background verification coordination, and pre-onboarding communication
- Coordinate and execute a smooth onboarding experience for every new joiner,



ensuring they're set up from day one
- Maintain and update recruitment trackers, dashboards, and hiring reports for leadership visibility
- Build and strengthen Aether's employer brand through active sourcing, candidate engagement, and a positive hiring experience
- Build and continuously improve scalable TA processes, interview frameworks, and hiring SOPs
- Coordinate with external vendors/recruitment consultants where required for niche or bulk hiring needs
- Track key hiring metrics (time-to-fill, offer-acceptance rate, source effectiveness) and report regularly

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment (in-house or agency), with demonstrated ownership of the complete recruitment lifecycle
- Proven experience managing end-to-end hiring - from sourcing through offer rollout to onboarding - independently
- Hands-on experience with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, job boards)
- Comfortable hiring across a mix of technical and non-technical roles
- Prior experience in the semiconductor, deep-tech, hardware, or electronics manufacturing industry is strongly preferred, given the specialized nature of technical hiring in this space (roles like design engineers, VLSI, embedded systems, supplier/quality engineers, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup workplace, and building processes rather than just following them
- High ownership mindset - comfortable being the sole point of accountability for hiring outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
