About the Role

TRYST, IIT Bombay is seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition Manager to independently own and administer full recruitment cycle operations for the organization. This is a execution-focused mandate, spanning across the entire hiring lifecycle – from hiring request intake and candidate sourcing to offer closure and joining formalities. The incumbent will be expected to bring deep functional expertise in recruitment delivery in technology (Semiconductor, Biotechnology, AI etc.) & support functions hiring.

Exercise sound judgment in candidate evaluation and offer management, and ensure governance and discipline across the hiring process, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition/Recruitment

- Hiring the right talent for the Organization focusing on speed & quality throughout the recruitment process.
- Own end-to-end recruitment for the organization – workforce planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding across levels and functions.
- Build and manage a solid pipeline through multiple sourcing channels including job portals, Referrals, Job Ads and creative tools of Recruitment.
- Partner closely with department heads and business leaders to understand hiring needs, define role requirements, and ensure timely closure of open positions.
- Coordinate and administer interview rounds with hiring managers, ensuring adherence to defined turnaround times and a professional candidate experience.
- Consolidate interview feedback from stakeholders and facilitate timely, well-informed selection decisions.
- Oversee reference checks and background verification for shortlisted candidates prior to offer release.




- Extend offers and lead offer negotiations within the organization's approved compensation and grading guidelines.
- Engage proactively with selected candidates through the notice period to ensure offer acceptance and joining, resolving pre-onboarding concerns as they arise.
- Administer joining formalities, including documentation, verification, and structured handover to the onboarding function.
- Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate pipeline reports, and hiring status dashboards.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to strengthen the organization's positioning as an employer of choice and improve candidate experience.
- Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer-to-join ratio, and source effectiveness; continuously improve hiring processes based on data.
- Lead salary negotiations and offer discussions in line with internal compensation guidelines.
- For niche profiles, liaison up with recruitment Partners for closing the positions.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition strategies across levels and functions.
- Knowledge of core HR operations, including onboarding, HRMS, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to partner effectively with business leaders.
- Strong Negotiation Skills.
- Strong sourcing skills across job portals and professional networks.
- Good understanding of employment trends, salary benchmarks, and market intelligence.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with HRMS/Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling candidate and employee data.

Eligibility

- 10+ years of relevant HR experience, with strong, demonstrable expertise in recruitment/talent acquisition.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume and/or niche hiring across levels.
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is preferred.
