Support / Assistant Construction Manager

PMC Power Generation / Transmission / Renewable Energy Projects

Job Purpose The Construction Coordinator / Assistant Construction Manager supports the Construction Manager in coordinating, monitoring, and controlling site construction activities to ensure secure, timely, and quality project execution. The role acts as the focal point for construction follow-up, interface management, workfront readiness, contractor coordination, and progress monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Construction Manager in the day-to-day management and supervision of construction activities.

- Monitor construction progress against project schedules and identify potential delays and constraints.

- Coordinate construction activities between contractors, engineering, procurement, commissioning, and quality teams.

- Monitor Workfront readiness, ensuring availability of drawings, materials, equipment, permits, and manpower before work commencement.

- Identify and escalate construction risks, bottlenecks, and interface issues affecting project execution.

- Track and follow up on open actions, site observations, NCRs, and punch-list items to ensure timely closure.





- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.

- Support coordination of civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and infrastructure construction activities.

- Monitor contractor productivity and resource deployment and highlight areas requiring improvement.

- Participate in site coordination meetings and prepare action trackers and progress updates.

- Ensure alignment of construction priorities with procurement, logistics, and commissioning requirements.

- Support implementation of recovery plans for delayed activities.

- Coordinate mechanical completion, system turnover, and handover readiness activities.

- Ensure contractors comply with project HSE requirements and approved construction methodologies.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports and dashboards for the Construction Manager.

- Assist in resolving site-related technical and execution issues through coordination with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor &

- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).

Experience

10-15 years of construction experience in Power Generation, Power Transmission,

Renewable Energy, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.

Experience In PMC, EPC, Or Owner's Engineer Organizations Preferred.
