Role Description The Student Counselor role at Aura Routes is a full time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The counselor will meet with students and families to understand their academic background, interests, and goals and provide tailored guidance on suitable courses, institutions, and career pathways. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining application and admission processes, maintaining accurate student records, and following up regularly to support decision-making.

The role also involves organizing and participating in seminars or information sessions, collaborating with internal teams to stay updated on education trends and opportunities,



and ensuring that all advice is provided in a neutral, student-centered manner. The counselor is expected to build strong, respectful relationships with students, maintain confidentiality, and represent Aura Routes professionally.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and guidance abilities, including active listening, empathy, and the capacity to understand diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to students and families.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, maintain records, and follow structured processes.
- Awareness of educational systems, admission procedures, and current academic and career trends in India and abroad.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation tools for managing student data and communication.
- Ability to work on-site in Delhi, collaborate with team members, and maintain a professional, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field; relevant certifications or experience in student counseling are an advantage.
- Previous experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or educational services is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
