Rang De (www.rangde.in) is a fintech startup that aims to revolutionise credit access for underserved communities by connecting individual lenders and borrowers together, cutting out the need for an intermediary, and offering highly customised and affordable loans than traditional lenders.

Having pioneered the model in India in 2008, Rang De's purpose built technology platform has proved to be game changing for providing timely access to credit for thousands of farmers and entrepreneurs. We recently pivoted into an NBFC-P2P and have a highly differentiated model from other peer-to-peer lending platforms.

We are a small team with big dreams, seeking a highly talented and experienced individual to join us as Senior Manager / AVP – Research & Partnerships. This is a critical role in our journey to expand our impact, build meaningful partnerships, and drive sustainable change for underserved communities.

Role Overview:

As Senior Manager / AVP – Research & Partnerships

(level to be determined based on experience and other relevant factors), you will play a key role in identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships with organisations working closely with marginalised communities. Working closely with the VP – Research & Partnerships, you will help shape and drive collaborations that enable innovative credit programmes and scalable solutions for underserved communities.

The role will involve building robust, sustainable relationships with partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and translating insights from the field into impactful programmes. Your work will contribute to expanding Rang De’s reach, strengthening its ecosystem of partners, and enabling more individuals and communities to access appropriate and sustainable credit.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate potential partners, including NGOs, social enterprises, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.



Establish and nurture strategic relationships to drive new Research & Partnerships and expand the organization's reach and impact.

- Proposal Writing and Fund Raising: Research and prepare potential proposals/grants/collaborations that Rang De can apply to/build, and take full responsibility for researching key stakeholders, developing language that fits with funder requirements, while communicating Rang De’s model and value proposition clearly.

- Program Development: Collaborate closely with partner organizations to understand community needs, pain points, and intervention opportunities. Design and develop impactful credit programs tailored to the unique requirements of each community. Ensure programs align with Rang De's mission and objectives.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between Rang De and partner organizations, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration. Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring their active engagement, support, and alignment with Rang De's goals.

- Thought Leadership: Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and creative approaches in the social impact space. Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and optimization of impact partnership initiatives.

- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the progress and impact of Research & Partnerships. Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness and outcomes of credit programs. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve program performance.

Requirements:

- 5–12 years of professional experience, with a significant portion in leadership or ownership roles across fundraising, partnerships, community development,



or social sector engagement. The designation and level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and overall fit for the role.
- Proven track record of establishing and managing impactful partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, social enterprises, and government agencies.
- Strong understanding of the social impact space, particularly in the context of financial inclusion, credit access, and community empowerment.
- Strong understanding of the SHG livelihoods ecosystem in India with a national and state level perspective
- Demonstrated ability to nurture and manage relationships with senior development sector and Government representatives
- Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans. Proven experience in developing and executing innovative programs that drive social change.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, partners, and donors.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team to achieve collective goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Advanced degree in business administration, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.
