Sr. Executive - Projects, Planning & Execution
Summary
MECh Engineers is recruiting a motivated Senior Executive to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders, spanning from the initial receipt of purchase orders to final project closure and dispatch. This pivotal position is dedicated to transforming contractual obligations into cohesive project strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Documentation, Logistics, Billing, and Client Relations. The successful candidate will drive on-time delivery by integrating diverse operational functions and maintaining rigorous oversight of project milestones and execution protocols.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead contract analysis and initiate comprehensive project kick-off procedures.
- Formulate and oversee detailed project timelines, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), key milestones, and corrective action plans for schedule recovery.
- Orchestrate cross-functional activities including engineering sign-offs, material acquisition, production, quality inspections, testing, documentation, and final shipment.
- Proactively monitor critical project paths to identify and mitigate potential scheduling risks before they impact delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding execution status, delivery timelines, and resolution of operational queries.
- Facilitate regular progress review sessions and maintain dynamic trackers to ensure action items are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments such as Procurement, Inventory, Production Planning & Control (PPC), Manufacturing, Quality Control, Finance, and Logistics.
- Oversee documentation management, ensure readiness for inspections, manage Material Review Board (MRB) files, and execute project closeout procedures.
- Assist in milestone-based billing and financial collections by guaranteeing the timely submission of required documentation.
- Manage project scope modifications, variation orders, and assess their impact on the overall schedule and budget.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: A robust background of 10 to 15 years in the heavy fabrication sector, specifically involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, static equipment, EPC projects, or custom-engineered manufacturing.
- Planning & Scheduling: Proficiency in project planning methodologies with hands-on experience in MS Project or Primavera.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Operational Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing and fabrication workflows, including material planning and expediting strategies.
- Quality & Compliance: Strong grasp of QA/QC protocols, documentation control, and relevant industry standards such as ASME, TEMA, IBR, PED, or API.
- Coordination: Proven ability to manage relationships with customers and Third-Party Inspectors (TPI).
