Role & responsibilities :

1. Colour Development & Formulation

- Develop recent colour formulations and matches per customer specifications (swatch, Pantone, or digital reference) for all base polymer grades.

- Conduct trial batches on twin-screw extruders or internal mixers to achieve target colour for each base resin type.

Matching &

• Consistency

- Use spectrophotometers (CIE L*a*b*, E matching) to ensure batch-to-batch colour consistency across all polymer families.
- Perform visual matching under standard light booth conditions.
- Document colour recipes, pigment loading levels, and processing parameters by base resin type.

3.

Production

Support

- Set up, monitor, and operate twin-screw extruders / internal mixers for colour compounding trials on multiple base resins.
- Manage raw material handling pre-colouring, drying, blending of masterbatch with base polymer grades.




- Execute production runs maintaining tight process control (temperature, screw RPM, feed rate, residence time).

4. Troubleshooting &

• Process Optimisation

- Identify and resolve colour mismatches, dispersion issues, and heat-stability problems (e.g., yellowing) across different polymer chemistries.
- Troubleshoot extrusion defects such as streaks, poor dispersion, or inconsistent output for every resin family.

5. Documentation &

• Reporting

- Generate daily/weekly quality reports for shift handover.
- Maintain Maintain batch records, colour recipe logs, and equipment maintenance logs by resin grade.

6. Lab &

• Plant Housekeeping

- - Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment; adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
