The Software Test Engineer (Contractual) will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through comprehensive manual and automated testing.

You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to identify issues early, maintain test coverage, and ensure that releases meet defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end testing of complex web applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Selenium.
- Integrate and execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, document, track,



and validate defects using Jira and test management tools such as Zephyr/Xray.
- Collaborate closely with developers to identify and resolve bugs at an early stage.
- Participate in release testing, regression cycles, and quality reviews.
- Monitor application quality and contribute to improving overall test coverage and QA processes.
- Work with modern web technologies and understand application behaviour across frontend and backend systems.
- Communicate testing results, risks, defects, and release readiness clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing/QA.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and test automation best practices.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Jira and tools such as Zephyr or Xray.
- Experience testing complex, high-traffic web applications is a robust plus.
- Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails and/or Node.js based applications.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as ReactJS and NextJS.
- Strong understanding of test case design, regression testing, defect management, and end-to-end testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
