Role Description

As a Software Engineer at The Agentic Loop, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power our publications, programs, and AI-driven tools. You will develop and optimize APIs, integrate AI models and data pipelines, and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable. On a day-to-day basis, you will write clean, maintainable code, review contributions from other team members, collaborate on architectural decisions, and troubleshoot production issues.

You will work closely with editorial and program teams to translate product needs into technical solutions and iterate quickly based on feedback.



This is a full-time, remote role, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones using modern communication and project management tools.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Go, Java).
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with databases.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI/ML systems, agentic AI concepts, or integrating AI models into production applications is a plus.
- Comfort with version control (Git), testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, communicate clearly, and take ownership of projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
