About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Decision Management Program (DMP) team at our Pune office. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing our real-time decision-making systems that leverage streaming analytics, business rules, AI engines, and big data technologies.

The Senior Software

Engineer will play a key role in mentoring team members while actively contributing to the development of high-performance, scalable applications that support Mastercard’s global decision management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, microservices architecture, and automation testing. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve existing software development processes, embed quality engineering practices, and automate testing and deployment workflows. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, experience, and a proactive mindset.

Required qualifications include

- Strong programming skills in Java,



with a deep understanding of microservices architecture, data structures, and design patterns.
- Proficiency with automation testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Spock, along with experience in unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful services, JSON, XML, and scripting languages such as shell, Python, and Groovy.
- Experience with source code management tools like Bitbucket or GitHub.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of build tools including Maven and Gradle, and experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of code quality and security tools such as Sonar, Blackduck, and Checkmarx.
- Ability to develop automation tests for acceptance and integration, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Experience with application monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace, and a good understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Proficiency in SQL, particularly with Oracle databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable skills include experience with Maven build processes, HTTP clients like RESTAssured, in-memory data grids such as Pivotal Gemfire, and knowledge of digital native architectures and microservices in cloud environments. Prior exposure to integration testing across various platforms including web UI, APIs, and Unix systems will be advantageous. - Contribute to the development of monitoring and observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance Mastercard’s systems.
- Support incident management and troubleshooting efforts to resolve issues promptly and minimize impact.
