Position: Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+ years

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assign jobs to team members.
- Lead implementation and unit testing activities.
- Lead code reviews and unit test plan reviews.
- Approve implementation-level CCB requests.
- Manage schedules and milestones for project teams.
- Support resolution of project bugs and technical issues.
- Guide engineers in issue analysis, enhancements, and bug investigations.
- Collaborate with the SA team on current technologies and component development.
- Provide engineer training and mentoring.
- Develop, maintain, and debug switch functionalities including drivers, L2/L3 protocols, applications, security features, and QoS.
- Maintain and enhance software performance for existing products.
- Study networking protocols and RFC specifications.
- Develop Network OS Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
- Analyze switch chip behavior, CPLD, hardware boards, and peripheral devices.
- Design, develop, and test switch system software.




- Provide technical documentation and customer support.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.
- Demonstrate passion for software design and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in C programming.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with Linux/RTOS and networking technologies.
- Knowledge of switch L2 and L3 protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, GRE, and EVPN development.
- Experience in switch hardware stacking development.
- Embedded systems programming, Linux shell scripting, and kernel driver development.
- Knowledge of NAND/BE-NAND Flash drivers and SFP/SFP+/QSFP+/CSFP modules.
- Knowledge of Secure Boot and Root of Trust (RoT) solutions.
