Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II)

About The Role

As an SDET II at GreyOrange, you will build and scale robust test automation frameworks for our AI-driven warehouse automation, robotics, and supply chain solutions. You will partner closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design high-impact test strategies, execute automated workflows, and raise the bar for software reliability and performance across our platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites using Python and Pytest.
- Test Strategy &
- Execution: Create comprehensive test plans, execute manual/automated tests, analyze execution results, and track defects to resolution.
- Developer Collaboration: Partner with software developers to understand core feature architecture, conduct code reviews, and drive Shift-Left testing.
- CI/CD Integration: Embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable, and continuous quality checks.
- Quality &
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the testing lifecycle and continuously optimize testing methodologies and coverage.

- Governance:



Provide technical guidance and best-practice mentorship to junior QA engineers.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Mandatory Stack: Solid programming expertise in Python with hands-on experience using Pytest.
- Test Automation: Solid experience architecting test automation frameworks across UI, API, and microservices (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or requests).
- CI/CD &
- DevOps: Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and pipeline automation.
- Data &
- Backend: Experience writing SQL queries for database validation and backend verification.
- Core QA Expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, end-to-end, black-box, and white-box testing).
- Methodologies: Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, root-cause troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Experience testing complex distributed systems, IoT, robotics, or supply chain execution software.
