Role Description Software Architect will be responsible for defining and owning the overall technical architecture for core platforms at AlmaMingles. This role is remote, based in India. It involves designing system components, setting architectural standards, and guiding implementation to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Day-to-day work includes collaborating with product and engineering teams, reviewing designs and code, creating architectural diagrams and documentation, and evaluating tools, frameworks, coding and integrations.

The Software

Architect will mentor software developers, lead technical discussions, conduct design and code reviews, and help plan the technical roadmap. The role also requires proactively identifying risks, recommending improvements, and ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Software Architecture and Software Design,



with 3+ years of experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Architecture, Software Development and Programming, including working with modern languages, frameworks, and development tools.
- Practical knowledge of Design Patterns and architectural styles, and the ability to apply them in real-world systems.
- Experience with system integration, APIs, microservices, and cloud or distributed architectures.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, diagrams, and standards for development teams.
- Demonstrated skill in technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and performance optimisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Points

- Experience working on mobile consumer applications (iOS/Android wrappers or native).
- Prior experience at early-stage startups building products from 0 to 1.
