Role Description The Social Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons in Social Studies for middle school learners in alignment with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing interactive lessons, integrating digital tools and real-life examples, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will maintain a supportive classroom environment, encourage critical thinking and inquiry, and collaborate with colleagues to enrich interdisciplinary learning and school activities.





Responsibilities also include lesson preparation, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents and guardians as needed, and participating in staff meetings, training, and school events. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Vardhman Podar Learn School campus in Seoni.

Qualifications

- Ability to teach Social Studies effectively to middle school learners, with sound knowledge of social science concepts and pedagogy.
- Robust curriculum development and lesson planning skills, including the ability to integrate digital tools and experiential learning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly, facilitate discussions, and engage diverse learners.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is preferred.
- Experience with classroom management, learner assessment, and use of educational technology, including digital and interactive resources.
- Collaborative mindset, openness to continuous professional development, and commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
- Prior experience teaching at middle school level in a recognized institution is an advantage.
