Job Title: Supervisor

Department: Operations

Reports To: Area Manager

Location: Danfoss, Oragadam

Job Summary The Zone Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day transportation operations within an assigned zone. The role ensures safe, punctual, and compliant employee transportation services by supervising drivers, monitoring vehicles, coordinating routes, and addressing operational issues in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

- Oversee daily transportation operations for the assigned zone
- Ensure on-time pickup and drop of employees as per route plans and schedules
- Coordinate vehicle deployment and route adherence
- Monitor vehicle availability, breakdowns, and replacements
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and escalations

Driver & Staff Supervision

- Supervise drivers and field staff within the zone
- Ensure driver attendance, grooming, discipline, and adherence to company policies
- Conduct driver briefings, spot checks, and on-road supervision
- Report driver misconduct, absenteeism, or performance issues to management

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company safety standards
- Conduct vehicle and driver safety checks
- Support accident handling, incident reporting, and corrective actions




- Promote safe driving practices and SOP adherence

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with client representatives for daily operational requirements
- Address client complaints and service issues promptly
- Provide regular updates and reports to operations management

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of employee transportation operations and routing
- Leadership and team-handling skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Basic computer skills (Excel, mobile apps, GPS systems)

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations
- Prior experience handling drivers and zone-level operations is an advantage

Work Workplace

- Field-oriented role with regular site visits and on-road supervision
- May require shift work, night duty, or emergency support
