1. About Northstar
Northstar Safety Systemz Pvt. Ltd. is a leading process safety, loss prevention, OT cybersecurity, and EHS training consultancy with a global footprint spanning 3,000+ clients across 32 countries. We are preferred auditors and ISO 45001 implementation partner for DRDO/Ministry of Defence, all critical IOCL refineries, 23,000+ BPCL retail outlets, and major rail clients including DMRC, South Central Railway, Hyderabad Metro, and NHSRCL. Our operations are powered by a 276-solid trainer workforce and we are currently investing heavily in digital transformation, automation, and internal collaboration infrastructure.
1. Role Overview
We are hiring a SharePoint Developer who will sit within the IT team and take full ownership of our SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration environment. This is a hands-on, build-first role you will design, develop, and maintain customized SharePoint sites for every department (Business Development, Service Delivery, HR, Finance, CRM, Audit Operations, Training) and integrate them with our existing Zoho CRM and M365 stack. The role is dual-faceted: 70% internal build and IT support, 30% client-facing. You will participate in client meetings, gather requirements, present solutions, and support client handovers when our consultants deliver SharePoint-based deliverables as part of larger consulting engagements.
1. Key Responsibilities
A. SharePoint Development & Customization
- Departmental Sites Design, build, and maintain customized SharePoint Online sites for each department, aligned with internal branding and workflows.
- Front-End Customization Build and deploy custom web parts using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Lists & Libraries Configure document libraries, custom lists, content types, site columns, views, and JSON-formatted columns/views.
- Power Platform Build Power Apps forms and Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, document routing, and process automation.
- Intranet & Portals Own the company intranet — news, announcements, policy library, training portal, and leadership dashboards.
- Integration — Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Zoho CRM, and other line-of-business systems via APIs and connectors.
- Governance — Enforce information architecture, permissions, retention, and DPDP Act 2023 data-handling compliance.
B. IT Team Support
- Ticket Resolution — Handle SharePoint, M365, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform tickets as part of the IT support queue.
- User Access Management — Administer site permissions, groups, and sharing policies in coordination with IT.
- Backup & Recovery — Work with IT on backup routines, version control, and disaster recovery for SharePoint content.
- Documentation — Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for all SharePoint solutions.
- Training — Train end users and department champions; create how-to guides and short video walkthroughs.
C. Client Engagement & Project Delivery
- Client Meetings — Join client discovery and scoping calls alongside the consulting team; translate client requirements into SharePoint solution designs.
- Solution Presentation — Present demos, wireframes, and prototypes directly to client stakeholders, including CXO-level attendees.
- Requirement Gathering — Conduct structured interviews with client department heads and document functional specifications.
- Project Delivery — Own the end-to-end delivery of client SharePoint deployments, including UAT, go-live, and handover.
- Stakeholder Communication — Provide weekly status updates, risk logs, and change requests through formal channels.
- Post-Go-Live Support — Handle hypercare, issue triage, and knowledge transfer to client IT teams.
