Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITSM Developer with strong experience in CMDB and exposure to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB solutions while ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices. The role requires hands-on development expertise, robust customer interaction skills, and experience supporting CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITSM processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow ITSM solutions and CMDB data models.
- Implement and support CSDM-aligned CMDB structures, CI classifications, and relationship mappings.
- Configure and develop ServiceNow components including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Catalog Items, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Support ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management implementations.
- Perform CMDB health assessments and improve data quality, reconciliation, and governance processes.
- Configure and maintain Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules.
- Develop integrations with third-party tools using REST APIs, SOAP services, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service management teams to ensure accurate service modeling.
- Work directly with customers to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, CMDB,



and process-related issues.

Required Skills

- 5-8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong experience in ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management).
- Strong CMDB administration and development experience.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM framework and implementation principles.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, andFlow Designer.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Strong understanding of CI relationships, IRE, reconciliation rules, and CMDB governance.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, and MID Server technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.

Certifications

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-ITSM) – Preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Good to Have.
- ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM-related certifications or training – Advantage.
