Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM/Service Mapping Developer with 8–12 years of experience to design, implement, and improve enterprise Configuration and Service Management capabilities.

The candidate will be responsible for establishing a trusted, scalable, and relationship-rich CMDB aligned with CSDM and capable of supporting ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, AIOps, and downstream AI use cases.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong knowledge of CI modelling, discovery, reconciliation, service mapping, and CMDB data quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and enhance ServiceNow CMDB.
- Implement and maintain CMDB structures aligned with Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Design CI class models, attributes, and relationships.
- Configure and enhance ServiceNow Discovery.
- Develop and maintain Service Mapping for business and application services.
- Create and troubleshoot discovery patterns and identification rules.
- Configure and optimize Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules.
- Integrate CMDB data from cloud, infrastructure, monitoring, asset, and external discovery platforms.




- Implement Service Graph Connectors and API-based CMDB integrations where appropriate.
- Design reconciliation strategies across multiple authoritative data sources.
- Identify and remediate:
- Duplicate CIs
- Stale CIs
- Orphan CIs
- Missing relationships
- Incorrect CI classifications
- Data ownership issues
- Establish and monitor CMDB Health metrics covering completeness, correctness, and compliance.
- Implement data certification and governance processes.
- Model relationships between:
- Business Services
- Application Services
- Business Applications
- Infrastructure CIs
- Cloud resources
- Databases
- Network components
- Owners/support groups
- Support ITSM processes by ensuring reliable CI/service relationships for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Enable dependency and impact analysis through accurate topology and service relationships.
- Collaborate with ITOM, ITAM, Service Management, application, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture teams.

Required Experience

- 8–12 years of ServiceNow experience, with significant hands-on CMDB/ITOM experience.
- Solid knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB architecture.
