Role Description The Senior Technical Sourcing Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for driving sourcing strategies for electronic components, smart device modules, and technology partners that align with product and business needs. This role includes identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers; negotiating contracts and pricing; and ensuring component availability, quality, and compliance for AI/ML-enabled devices and connected systems. The person in this role will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams to support new product introductions, cost optimization initiatives, and supply risk mitigation.

Daily activities involve analyzing technical specifications, reviewing BOMs, managing supplier performance metrics, and continuously scanning the market for innovative and sustainable sourcing options.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in technical sourcing, supplier evaluation, and procurement for electronics, embedded systems, or smart devices.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications, and collaborating effectively with R&D; and product teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and contract management to drive value, savings, and long-term supplier relationships.
- Candidates should possess skills related to supply chain risk assessment, inventory planning, and vendor performance tracking.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with components and technologies used in AI/ML-enabled devices, IoT, cloud-connected systems, and consumer or industrial electronics.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in supply chain or procurement are an advantage.
- Several years of experience in technical sourcing, category management, or supply chain roles within technology, electronics, or smart devices industries, preferably at a senior level.
