ROLE PURPOSE The Senior Team Leader Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) will lead a team providing engineering and project management support for US-based construction projects from the Mumbai or Bengaluru office.

The role is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of project activities across civil, structural and architectural engineering coordination, document control, RFIs and submittals, project closeout, budgeting, commercial administration, risk mitigation, scheduling, safety, and project controls.

The position requires a strong understanding of CSA construction systems, drawings, specifications, contract documents, engineering processes and project management principles, along with demonstrated people-management capabilities.

The incumbent will plan and allocate team resources, provide technical oversight, review deliverables, monitor team performance, resolve project issues, and collaborate closely with US-based project teams, design consultants, trade partners, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership and Delivery Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CSA engineers and project support professionals working on US-based construction projects.
- Plan and allocate resources based on project priorities, workload, technical complexity, team capabilities, and delivery schedules.
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, quality standards, and delivery timelines for team members.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, utilization, responsiveness, and adherence to project milestones.
- Conduct regular team meetings, project reviews, one-to-one discussions, and performance evaluations.
- Identify competency gaps and facilitate technical training, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and development plans.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, technical excellence, and timely issue resolution.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for technical, operational, and project-delivery issues within the assigned CSA portfolio.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and integration of new team members, as required.

CSA Engineering and Technical Oversight

- Provide technical leadership and engineering oversight for Civil, Structural and Architectural workstreams across assigned projects.
- Review CSA drawings, specifications, contract documents, submittals, RFIs, technical queries, and other engineering deliverables for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and constructability.
- Guide the team in interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scope requirements, addenda, and applicable project standards.
- Review Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure proposed responses and solutions are technically appropriate before submission to the Design team or project stakeholders.
- Review submittals for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and other project disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts, scope gaps, and constructability concerns.
- Provide technical guidance on issues related to CSA construction and support the team in developing practical solutions.
- Manage engineering systems, registers, trackers, and logs for assigned CSA trades, ensuring information remains accurate and current.
- Drive standardization of engineering processes, templates, checklists, workflows, and quality-control procedures.

Project Coordination and Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key point of contact between the India-based engineering team and US-based Turner project teams.
- Participate in trade partner meetings, daily project huddles, owner meetings, design coordination meetings,



and internal project reviews.
- Communicate project priorities, risks, dependencies, deadlines, and required actions clearly to team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure assigned tasks and project issues are appropriately tracked, updated, escalated, and resolved within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, design consultants, architects, structural consultants, trade partners, vendors, and internal support teams.
- Prepare and present project status updates, performance reports, risk summaries, and recovery plans to leadership and project stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate critical technical risks, scope gaps, schedule concerns, coordination issues, and commercial matters with appropriate recommendations.

Document Control and Contract Management

- Take ownership of the document-control process for assigned projects and ensure compliance with Turner and project requirements.
- Ensure current contract documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, submittals, revisions, and related project information are properly maintained and distributed.
- Monitor document workflows, approval cycles, revision histories, and outstanding actions.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with incomplete, outdated, conflicting, or incorrectly distributed contract documents.
- Ensure team compliance with established naming conventions, filing structures, access controls, and document-retention requirements.
- Conduct periodic quality reviews of project documentation and implement corrective actions where required.

Project Closeout

- Lead the development and implementation of the project closeout process for assigned CSA scopes.
- Establish closeout plans, responsibilities, trackers, submission schedules, and quality requirements.
- Ensure required project data and documentation are gathered, reviewed, compiled, and assembled for turnover to the client.
- Oversee preparation and coordination of applicable closeout deliverables, including as-built documentation, warranties, certificates, approved submittals, final drawings, and other contractually required CSA documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams, design consultants, and trade partners to resolve missing, incomplete, or non-compliant closeout documentation.
- Monitor closeout progress and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within contractual timelines.
- Capture lessons learned and implement improvements across future projects.

Budget and Commercial Management

- Support the proper setup, review, and administration of project budgets, including approval and audit workflows.
- Review proposals and change documentation from assigned CSA trade partners for scope accuracy, completeness, exclusions, assumptions, and budget compliance.
- Identify scope gaps, commercial risks, and potential cost impacts and communicate them to project leadership.
- Support the payment application process, including initial setup, draw management, document verification, and approval tracking.
- Oversee the management and review of the Checks Held Report and other applicable project financial-control reports.
- Monitor assigned CSA budgets, commitments, changes, and cost-related risks.
- Work collaboratively with project and commercial teams to ensure financial and contractual documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

Risk, Quality, Safety and Process Improvement

- Identify technical, contractual,



schedule, commercial, coordination, and delivery risks associated with assigned CSA workstreams.
- Develop mitigation plans, assign actions, and monitor identified risks through closure.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific quality requirements, internal procedures, and applicable safety expectations.
- Promote safety awareness and ensure constructability and safety considerations are incorporated into engineering reviews and project planning.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring quality, technical, or delivery issues and implement preventive actions.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for quality, responsiveness, productivity, utilization, and schedule adherence.
- Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Project management or construction-related professional certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

- Approximately 15–18 years of experience in civil/structural/architectural construction engineering, project engineering, project controls, design coordination, or project delivery.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a team leadership, supervisory, or people-management role.
- Experience supporting international projects, particularly US-based construction or engineering projects, is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and team deliverables.
- Strong experience reviewing and coordinating CSA drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contract documents, change management, and project closeout activities.
- Experience with project budgets, trade partner proposals, payment processes, scope reviews, and commercial documentation.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination between CSA and MEP systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Aconex, and SAP is preferred.

- Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with US-based and other international stakeholders.
- Ability to review complex technical and contractual documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive, accountable, quality-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, consultants, architects, engineers, trade partners, and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Flexibility to collaborate with US-based stakeholders and provide working-hour overlap when required.

This role is based in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai and supports Turner business units and project teams in the United States.
