Role Description The Senior Solar Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in South Delhi. This role is responsible for overseeing installation, commissioning, and maintenance of rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems, including panels, inverters, mounting structures, and wiring.

Technician will lead field teams, conduct site assessments, troubleshoot system issues, perform routine inspections, and ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met. Day-to-day work includes interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with project managers, documenting work performed, and providing guidance to junior technicians. The role also involves communicating with customers on system performance, advising on preventive maintenance,



and supporting continuous improvement in installation practices.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in solar PV installation, commissioning, and maintenance, including hands-on experience with panels, inverters, wiring, and mounting systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards, including ability to read single-line diagrams, use testing equipment, and apply relevant codes and regulations.
- Experience leading field teams, assigning tasks, mentoring junior technicians, and coordinating with project and operations staff.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and optimize system performance in residential and commercial environments.
- Solid communication and customer service skills to explain technical matters clearly, manage expectations, and document work accurately.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in solar or related electrical/renewable energy work; prior experience in rooftop solar preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field; relevant certifications in solar PV are an advantage.
- Comfort working at heights and in outdoor conditions, with commitment to strict safety practices and use of appropriate protective equipment.
- Proficiency in basic computer and mobile tools for reporting, documentation, and monitoring solar installations.
- Ability to work in office in South Delhi and travel to project locations as required.
