The Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing on-site inspection operations within the automotive sector. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with organisational and client standards.
The position requires strong leadership, customer coordination, quality management expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives at the site.
Role Purpose
To manage and oversee site inspection activities by ensuring:
Consistent adherence to quality standards
Effective utilisation of manpower and resources
Timely resolution of customer concerns
Smooth coordination between customers and inspection teams
Compliance with safety and operational procedures
Continuous improvement in inspection and quality performance
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Lead and supervise a team of 6 inspectors
Allocate manpower effectively based on operational requirements
Maintain team discipline, productivity, and performance standards
Support team development and capability building
Customer Coordination
Coordinate with customers regarding quality expectations and inspection requirements
Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure timely corrective actions
Build strong customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and trust
Quality & Inspection Operations
Ensure inspection activities comply with quality standards and procedures
Monitor reporting systems, documentation accuracy, and inspection records
Track productivity and operational performance metrics
Drive improvements in inspection methods and quality systems
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to safety standards and site compliance requirements
Maintain proper operational discipline and process compliance at the site
Technical Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Utilize measuring instruments and metrology tools effectively
Apply QMS principles and quality tools in daily operations
Support product quality and operational improvements
