We are looking for a Senior SAP AP/VIM Engineer to lead and support the global Accounts Payable (AP), Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P/STP) digital landscape.

The role will focus on designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing AP processes within an SAP S/4HANA Finance environment. This includes vendor invoice intake and validation, approval workflows, invoice posting, payment execution, OpenText VIM workflows, bank payment integration, OCR/invoice capture, and government e-invoicing compliance.

You will work closely with Finance Operations, Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Digital Integration, and Compliance teams to drive automation, accuracy, controls, and global standardization. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the organization's global STP automation strategy, while ensuring strong alignment with Record-to-Report (RTR) processes, financial controls, reconciliations, and month-end close requirements.

Your tasks

- Leading the design and optimization of global SAP Accounts Payable and P2P/STP processes
- Managing and supporting OpenText VIM workflows, document processing, exception handling, and AP operations
- Configuring SAP FI-AP processes including invoice posting, payment programs, payment methods, withholding tax, tolerances, and vendor open items
- Designing and supporting integrations between SAP, procurement platforms, banking systems, OCR/invoice capture solutions, and tax platforms
- Supporting bank and payment integrations, including payment file processing and ISO 20022/SWIFT-based connectivity




- Leading global government e-invoicing implementation and support activities
- Supporting reconciliation, financial controls, month-end close, and RTR-related requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve invoice automation through OCR, AI/ML, RPA, and other digital technologies
- Collaborating with Finance, Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, and Integration teams to deliver standardized global solutions
- Managing incidents, root-cause analysis, solution improvements, and ongoing SAP AP/VIM application support

Requirements

- At least 7 years of hands-on SAP experience with robust expertise in FI-AP and Procure-to-Pay processes
- Deep expertise in OpenText VIM, including workflow configuration, document processing, exception handling, and operational support
- Solid knowledge of SAP AP configuration covering invoice posting, payment programs, payment methods, withholding tax, tolerances, and vendor open item management
- Experience integrating SAP with banking and payment systems, including ISO 20022 or SWIFT connectivity and payment file processing
- Previous work with OCR or intelligent invoice capture solutions and AP automation
- Strong understanding of STP, RTR, reconciliations,



financial controls, and month-end close requirements
- Proven experience implementing and supporting global government e-invoicing solutions
- Experience integrating SAP with procurement platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, or other supplier invoicing ecosystems
- Extensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and its integration with AP and P2P processes
- Fluent English – minimum B2 level

Nice to have

- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification
- OpenText VIM certification
- Familiarity with leading global AP-side e-invoicing implementation programs
- Previous work with AI/ML, OCR, or RPA solutions for invoice automation and exception handling
- Proven track record in the pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry
- Experience working in large global transformation programs
- Strong knowledge of global tax and regulatory requirements related to electronic invoicing
