Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, evaluate patient medical history, and determine anesthesia risks.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care safely and effectively.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, airway, and physiological status during procedures.
- Manage airway interventions, including intubation, ventilation, and emergency airway management.
- Provide perioperative and postoperative pain management services.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, cardiac arrests, trauma cases, and code blue situations.
- Deliver anesthesia support across Operation Theatres (OT), ICU, Emergency Department, Cath Lab, Endoscopy Suite, Labor Room, and Day Care Surgery Units.
- Manage critically ill patients, including ventilator support, invasive monitoring, and hemodynamic stabilization.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain detailed anesthesia records, patient documentation, and procedure notes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI standards, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, departmental meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Guide and mentor junior doctors, residents, nurses, and technicians as required.
- Stay up to date with advancements in anesthesiology, critical care, pain management, and evidence-based medical practices.
- Participate in on-call duties and provide emergency anesthesia coverage as per departmental requirements.
Qualifications Required
- MD / DNB in Anesthesiology (Anaesthesia) from a recognized institution.
- MBBS from a recognized Medical College.
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
Experience:-
- Senior Registrar: 0 to 3 years of post-MD/DNB experience.
- Junior Consultant: 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in Anesthesiology/Critical Care preferred.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in General, Regional, and Neuraxial Anesthesia techniques.
- Competency in airway management and resuscitation.
- Experience in ICU and critical care management.
- Knowledge of ventilator management and invasive monitoring.
- Solid clinical decision-making and emergency response skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management abilities.
- Familiarity with NABH/JCI accreditation standards and hospital protocols.
Preferred Certifications
- ACLS/BLS certification.
- Fellowship or additional training in Critical Care, Pain Medicine, Cardiac Anesthesia, Neuro Anesthesia, or Pediatric Anesthesia will be an added advantage.
