Role Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network security operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting critical security infrastructure across Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate, Cloudflare, and VPN environments. This role requires strong operational expertise, incident management capabilities, security policy administration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a 24x7 enterprise support workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations of enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Implement, review, and optimize security policies across Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet FortiGate environments.
- Perform change implementation, validation, rollback planning, and operational documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, NAT, VPN, SSL, and network security issues.
- Administer and manage Cloudflare security policies, SSL/TLS configurations, rate limiting, bot protection, and application security controls.
- Support VPN technologies, including deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and user connectivity issues.
- Participate in security incident response activities and perform root cause analysis for network security incidents.
- Conduct firewall rule reviews, recertification, cleanup, and security hardening activities.
- Coordinate with SOC, infrastructure, cloud, server, application, and network teams to resolve security and connectivity challenges.
- Review vendor security advisories and implement recommended mitigations.
- Perform firmware upgrades, high-availability validation, backup management,



and health checks.
- Prepare SOPs, operational procedures, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
- Support compliance and audit activities, including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST, and customer security requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Ensure adherence to service levels, operational standards, and security best practices.

Experience

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Security, Cyber Security, or Enterprise Network Security Operations.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale security environments in a 24x7 operational model.

- TCP/IP, OSI Model, Routing, Switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and Load Balancing concepts.
- VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions.
- PKI, Certificates, TLS/SSL concepts.
- Basic Linux and Windows administration.
- Network traffic analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, Zero Trust architecture, and modern security practices.

- Fortinet Certified Professional (NSE 4/5/7)
- CCNP Security / CCIE Security
- CEH or Security+
