Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Assistant Team Lead – .NET with 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, Azure cloud services, and SQL Server.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise along with the ability to guide and mentor developers, take ownership of technical deliverables, review code, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the Team Lead in managing day-to-day technical activities.

The candidate should be comfortable working across the complete development lifecycle, from technical design and development to deployment, production support, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain applications and REST APIs using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.

· Design, write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.

· Design and implement scalable and maintainable technical solutions based on business requirements.

· Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, and related services.

· Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure timely delivery with expected quality.

· Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and development best practices.

· Troubleshoot complex staging and production issues and drive issues through to resolution.

· Identify performance, scalability, and reliability issues and recommend appropriate technical improvements.

· Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.

· Support the Team Lead in technical planning, task allocation, estimation, and tracking of development activities.

· Participate in technical design and architecture discussions and contribute to architectural improvements.

· Review technical approaches and provide guidance to developers before implementation where required.

· Ensure proper understanding of the existing application, architecture, dependencies,



and business flow before making significant changes.

· Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release activities.

· Work closely with QA, BA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery.

· Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and potential production issues.

· Ensure proper documentation of technical solutions, application changes, and deployment-related activities.

· Support the Team Lead in maintaining technical standards and improving overall team productivity and quality.

Required Technical Skills

· Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and object-oriented programming principles.

· Solid hands-on experience in building and consuming REST APIs.

· Solid experience with SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.

· Strong working experience with Microsoft Azure, including:

o Azure App Service o Azure SQL Database o Azure Storage o Azure DevOps o Application monitoring and deployment

· Strong experience with Git and version control workflows.

· Hands-on experience with Entity Framework / EF Core or similar ORMs.

· Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

· Experience with debugging, testing, and API testing tools such as xUnit, NUnit, Postman, or equivalent.

· Understanding of application performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.

· Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular is an added advantage.

Technical Leadership & Team Responsibilities





· Provide day-to-day technical guidance and support to developers.

· Mentor team members and help them improve their technical skills and development practices.

· Review implementation approaches and identify potential technical risks at an early stage.

· Conduct regular code reviews and ensure code quality across assigned modules.

· Assist the Team Lead in technical estimation, planning, and task prioritization.

· Take ownership of critical modules and production issues.

· Ensure developers follow established coding, Git, testing, and deployment practices.

· Help identify recurring technical issues and recommend long-term solutions.

· Act as a technical point of contact for the team in the absence of the Team Lead.

· Support knowledge sharing and maintain proper technical documentation within the team.

Candidate Profile

· 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in .NET development.

· Previous experience in a Senior Developer, Module Lead, or similar technical leadership role is preferred.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong understanding of existing applications and ability to quickly analyze complex codebases.

· Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end ownership of technical deliverables.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Solid focus on code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

· Experience handling production-critical issues and customer-facing technical challenges.

· Ability to make sound technical decisions and recommend practical solutions.

· Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and cloud services.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
