India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.

About the Role:

As a Mendix Engineer, you'll contribute to the design, development, and support of Mendix applications that deliver value to our business and customers. Working within an agile and collaborative team, you'll partner with developers, analysts, architects, and product owners to deliver high-quality solutions while continuing to grow your technical expertise in low-code development. Key Responsibilities:

- Application Development: Develop, configure, test, and deploy applications using the Mendix platform, ensuring solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
- Solution Implementation: Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable Mendix solutions under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
- Requirements Analysis: Work with business analysts, product owners,



and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Application Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements and bug fixes.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in testing activities, including unit testing and defect resolution, to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain application documentation, including technical specifications, configuration details, and release notes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver quality solutions and share knowledge across the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Mendix platform capabilities, low-code best practices, and development standards, applying learnings to improve application quality and team outcomes.

Qualifications:

- 6-8 years of experience in software development, low-code platforms, or application development.
- Technical Expertise: Experience developing applications on the Mendix platform and understanding of low-code development principles. Exposure to ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or other front-end technologies is advantageous. Exposure to Microsoft Power platform desirable.
- Software Engineering Fundamentals: Understanding of software development practices, design patterns, version control, testing, and writing maintainable code.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyse issues, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver practical solutions.
- Teamwork:



Strong collaboration and communication skills with a willingness to learn from and contribute to the team.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
- Customer Focus: Understanding of customer and business needs, with a commitment to delivering valuable solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and expanding Mendix expertise through hands-on experience and professional development.
- Experience integrating Mendix applications with APIs and external services.
- Advanced certified Mendix developer certification is a must and knowledge of the insurance or financial sector is a plus.
