CIP is the strategic steward of Zurich’s Guidewire ecosystem, aligning platform roadmaps to business strategy while driving stability, modernization, reduced supplier dependency, and long term cost efficiency.

India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

- Contribute to the legacy Java components (WebSphere, GWT-based systems) and having a mindset and plan to move them into a modern technology like Spring Boot microservices.
- Translate complex legacy business logic into clean, testable, domain-aligned services
- Design and implement APIs that are contract-driven, version able, and scalable
- Collaborate with Lead Engineers to implement contemporary patterns for legacy systems (microservices, BFF, event-driven)
- Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability through structured refactoring.

What You Bring:

- 5–8+ years of strong Java engineering experience.
- Deep level Java expertise plus solid experience with Spring Boot microservices designed for resilience, traceability, and scale.




- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and building backend services
- Solid experience working with legacy Java enterprise systems (e.g. WebSphere, GWT, JSP)
- Strong understanding of:
- API design and integration patterns
- Distributed systems fundamentals (concurrency, performance, fault tolerance)
- Testing strategies (unit, integration, contract)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and containerization
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices
- Observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Experience working with or reviewing AI-assisted code generation & How to evaluate and correct AI-generated code safely and efficiently.
