About Us:

designICON Architects is a 25-year-old full-service design and build practice based in Gurugram. Architecture, interiors, structure, MEP, landscape and sustainable design — all in-house, under one roof. We work with HNI clients across Delhi NCR and deliver commercial projects pan-India.

The Role:

We are looking for someone to run projects, not assist on them.

From the first client conversation to the final snag list. You will be the person the client calls, and the person the site team answers to. That means real autonomy — and real accountability.

If you have been waiting for someone to hand you the reins, this is that role.

What you'll own:

- Lead client meetings, presentations and design reviews — independently, without a partner in the room
- Take a project from brief and concept through detailed design, GFC drawings, BOQ and execution
- Coordinate internal teams (architecture, MEP, structure, landscape) and external consultants
- Drive site — resolve issues, hold contractors to drawings and timelines, protect design intent
- Manage schedules, approvals, submissions and client expectations end to end
- Shape the strategic side of design — brief interrogation, site and feasibility reads, space programming, phasing and the long-term thinking that happens before anyone opens a drawing file
- Mentor junior designers and review their drawings before they leave the studio

What we're looking for:

- 3+ years in interior design or architecture, with at least one project you have carried through to completion yourself
- Excellent spoken and written English. You will be presenting to HNI homeowners, promoters and corporate decision-makers. You need to be able to hold the room, take a difficult question,



and follow it up in writing the same evening.
- Detailing that survives contact with a contractor. You know what a joinery detail costs and whether it can actually be built.
- AutoCAD, SketchUp, and at least one visualisation tool (Lumion / Enscape / D5 / Corona). Revit is a plus.
- Working command of BOQs, material specification, vendor coordination and site measurement
- Comfort with drawing sets, approvals and the unglamorous documentation that keeps a project honest

What will actually set you apart:

- Ambition over pedigree. We would rather have someone with three years and real hunger than twelve years and a comfort zone.
- Range. Willingness to take on a building type you haven't done before — hospitality, workplace, institutional, luxury residential — and figure it out.
- Curiosity about where this profession is going. AI-assisted visualisation, green certification, recent fabrication methods. We are actively building these into our workflow and want someone who will push on it.
- An opinion. We want to be argued with.
