Astics Techlabs is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering organization.

We are looking for a strong people manager with solid technical depth who can lead engineering teams, develop talent, improve execution, and work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality software.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering management experience with a modern approach to software development, including the effective use of AI and automation to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering teams.
- Establish clear goals, ownership, accountability, and engineering best practices.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching, and career-development discussions.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering talent.
- Drive effective planning, prioritization, and timely delivery of engineering initiatives.
- Improve development processes, team collaboration, and engineering productivity.
- Promote effective use of AI-assisted development and automation across the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and participate in architecture and system-design discussions.
- Ensure high standards for software quality, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Partner closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
- Provide transparent visibility into engineering priorities, progress,



dependencies, and risks.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years of software engineering experience.
- 8+ years of direct engineering management experience.
- Proven experience leading and developing software engineering teams.
- Strong experience with performance management, hiring, mentoring, and team development.
- Strong technical foundation in modern web and cloud application development.
- Experience with Node.js, React.js, Express.js, MongoDB and/or similar technologies.
- Experience with AWS, databases, APIs, CI/CD, and modern software-development practices.
- Understanding of AI-assisted software development and engineering automation.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance people leadership, technical quality, and business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing engineering teams in SaaS or product-based technology companies.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to mobile application development.
- Experience using AI development tools to improve engineering productivity.
