Senior Engineer (Track)

SYSTRA India, a global leader in engineering and consulting for public transport infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Engineer (Track) for the Kochi Metro Rail Project, Phase-II. With a rich history spanning over 60 years in mass rapid transit systems and a valuable presence in India since 1957, SYSTRA is committed to technical excellence and improving transportation efficiency.

SYSTRA has been a key partner in over 80% of metro projects in India, including the Delhi Metro, and is currently the General Consultant (GC) for the Kochi Metro Rail Project's Phase-II corridor. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure project and be at the heart of improving urban mobility.

Missions/Main Duties

As a Senior Engineer, Track, you'll be responsible for:

- Reviewing designs for the track structure, which includes the track bed, track superstructure, rails, turnouts, concrete sleepers, and expansion joints. This applies to both ballastless track on the main line and ballasted track on depots.
- Working with experts from other system disciplines to ensure consistency and integration of designs.




- Reviewing the final specifications and designs of all components submitted by the Contractor.
- Monitoring the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of track components.

Profile/Skills

- Education: Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
- At least 4 years of this experience should be in a similar role in the construction of ballastless track works for metro rail projects/rail-based transit projects.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to problem-solve, especially in an integrated project delivery workplace, applying industry best practices.
- Leadership: A self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
