We are looking for a Fired Equipment Engineer with 8-14 years of experience to join our team. The candidate shall be responsible for performing / reviewing basic/detailed Mechanical design for Fired equipment and related equipment such as steam methane reformer (SMR), heaters, boilers, furnaces, and incinerators in Oil & Gas Refinery and similar industry during Pre-FEED, FEED, and Project execution stages. The role requires expertise in ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and performance standards while delivering techno commercial solutions.

Job Description

Technical Skills A suitable candidate shall have / shall be :

- Well versed with following standards as minimum
- API 560
- API 530
- API 535
- IBR
- ASME Sec I / II / V / VIII
- ASME B31.3 / B31.1 / B16.20 / B16.47 / B16.5
- ASTM
- Experienced in handling multiple fired heaters / columns / reformers from conceptualisation to commissioning stage
- Hands on experience in carrying out pressure parts calculations as per relevant code and standard, cast tube support calculation/design, FEA analysis etc.
- Experienced in preparation of material requisition, technical offer evaluation, technical recommendation for fired equipment and bought-out items (e.g. Fans, Air-preheaters, Dampers,



Expansion Joints, soot-blowers etc.) as package.
- In-depth knowledge of
- Preparation of General Arrangement drawings (including coil drawings) of Fired Heaters & Reformers from API heater datasheets.
- Review of OEM drawings and documents
- Supervision of drafting work
- Participation and providing inputs in 3D model reviews.
- Inspection and testing requirements
- Review of inspection reports
- Coordination between various disciplines as well as other stake holders such as Licensor, Consultant, Contractor, OEM etc
- Interaction with shop/site team for technical queries.
- Handled a team of fired equipment engineers throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Experienced in refurbishment or replacement (trouble shooting) of fired heaters or part thereof
- Experience in handling other non-fired equipment / packages would be an added advantage
- Experience in working at site during construction and/or troubleshooting would be an added advantage
