We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, SQL/PLSQL, and scripting. The role focuses on developing and supporting cloud-based data solutions while working with GCP data services, relational databases, and data processing tools in an Agile/DevOps environment.
The role involves working with GCP BigQuery and cloud data platforms to develop and maintain data solutions. Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery scripting or Cloud SQL, along with advanced SQL/PLSQL and shell scripting or Python, is required.
The engineer will work with relational databases and may contribute to data engineering workflows using services such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Airflow/Cloud Composer, Dataflow, and Dataform. The role also involves supporting operational processes and collaborating within multidisciplinary Agile and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data solutions using GCP BigQuery and Cloud SQL
- Write and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL scripts
- Develop automation and data processing scripts using Shell scripting or Python
- Work with relational database management systems
- Support data engineering workflows using GCP data services
- Work with Cloud Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, and Dataform
- Troubleshoot and support data-related incidents and production issues
- Collaborate with Agile and DevOps teams on changes, incidents, and problem management
