– Senior Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyse unstructured information relating to global banks, financial institutions, companies, sectors and markets, including annual reports, financial statements, earnings releases, investor presentations and regulatory filings.
- Extract, interpret and convert financial and business information into structured, standardised and AI-ready datasets.
- Develop and maintain taxonomies, definitions and classification frameworks for qualitative data.
- Own the accuracy, consistency and traceability of team outputs by reviewing sources, investigating discrepancies and maintaining quality standards.
- Identify patterns, trends, anomalies and insights across multiple information sources.
- Lead the team’s day-to-day workflow by allocating work, setting priorities and timelines, and ensuring consistent delivery and quality.
- Review and validate analysts’ work, while coaching them on research techniques, financial interpretation and data quality.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and LLMs to improve research efficiency without compromising accuracy.
- Contribute to benchmarking, quality metrics and continuous process improvements across the team.
Desired skills:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial research, data analysis, qualitative research or unstructured data roles.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ownership of data quality and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Python and other data-analysis tools is an advantage.
- Prior experience leading, mentoring or supervising a small team, project or workstream.
- Strong interest in financial markets, banking and business research, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Exposure to AI/LLMs or AI-assisted research workflows is an advantage.
