Our consulting team is built around forward deployed analysts, data scientists, and subject matter experts who sit close to the client and turn data into strategic guidance CXOs act on.

Why Now

Saras is profitable and bootstrapped. We run flat: talent and good ideas move fast here regardless of tenure or title. Right now we're scaling our product implementations quickly — more clients, more concurrent engagements, more moving pieces, in a short span of time. A Business Analyst joining now is doing hands-on work inside that scale-up directly, not joining a fixed, fully mature process.

The Role

You'll work inside a Technical Project Manager's delivery pod, executing the hands-on BA and BI work in the client engagements assigned to you — gathering requirements, building the analysis or dashboard, and confirming the client's team is actually using what you built. You'll report to your Technical Project Manager.

The Level

· Senior Business Analyst (~4-8 years) — you take on the most ambiguous requirements, set the quality bar for the pod's output, and coach the junior analysts around you.

The Bar

Your output is only as good as its accuracy — a dashboard or analysis that's wrong, or that doesn't answer the actual business question, isn't done. Getting the requirement right and the numbers right, every time, is the top priority for this role.

What You'll Own

- Get the requirement right, not just the ask.



Understand what the client actually needs before you start building — ask the questions that get past the surface-level request to the real business question underneath.
- Write accurate technical requirements for cross-functional teams, and define how their work gets validated. Translate the business requirement into a clear technical spec for the teams building the underlying data or pipeline work, then define the test cases that confirm what they deliver actually matches what the client asked for.
- Build the analysis or dashboard. Do the hands-on SQL and BI-tool work — querying, modeling, and visualizing the data — so it's accurate, easy to read, and answers the question it was built for.
- Get it reviewed and signed off before it ships. Validate your numbers, walk your Technical Project Manager through the logic, and get explicit sign-off on scope before the client sees it. (Jr BAs only)
- Help the client actually use what you built. Support training and walkthroughs so the client's team understands the dashboard or analysis, not just receives it.
- Flag what's not working. If a requirement changes, the data doesn't support the ask, or a deadline is at risk, say so early, not after the fact. (Jr BAs seek support from their team)

What Winning Looks Like

First 90 days: you've shipped your first few analyses or dashboards independently, you know the tech stack and the Saras standards,



and you can explain your work's logic clearly to both your team and the client.

Steady state: your output is accurate and on time without needing rework, your Technical Project Manager trusts what you ship without re-checking every number, your cross-functional team mates enjoy working with you and the clients you support are actually using what you build.

Who Thrives Here

· You're a graduate of a reputed engineering college.

· Up to ~8 years of hands-on experience in business analysis, BI, or analytics — at an analytics/consulting firm, an ecommerce or retail company, or a related data role.

· You're hands-on proficient in SQL and at least one BI tool, either Tableau or Power BI — you build the dashboard, not just read it.

· You can break down an ambiguous business question into a clear, testable analytical problem.

· You have a foundational understanding of statistics — enough to know when a number is meaningful and when it isn't.

· You communicate clearly in writing and in person — you can walk a client or your team through your logic without over-explaining or under-explaining.

It's an even stronger fit if you also bring:

· Your engineering degree is in Computer Science, AI, Data Analytics, or Data Science.

· Hands-on proficiency using AI tools like Claude to build dashboards and automate your daily work.

· You've presented analysis directly to a client or senior stakeholder, not just to your own team.

· You've conducted or supported a client-facing product or platform training.
