Role Description The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain Azure-based infrastructure and platforms for client and internal environments. This full-time, on-site role in the Pune Division includes building and optimizing Azure landing zones, AKS clusters, and cloud-native services, as well as contributing to CI/CD and GitOps workflows. The role involves managing infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and troubleshooting production systems, and collaborating with security, development, and operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance.
The engineer will also participate in architecture reviews, performance tuning, cost optimization, and documentation of solutions and best practices, while mentoring junior team members and supporting cross-functional project delivery.
Qualifications
- Solid Software Development skills, including scripting or programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation and tooling.
- Solid Infrastructure experience across networking, virtualization, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep), and configuration management.
- Deep Cloud Computing expertise, particularly with Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, AKS, security, and governance).
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, shell scripting, and containerization in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and NoSQL), including deployment, performance tuning, and secure integration with cloud applications.
- Background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and site reliability engineering.
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, identity and access management, and cost optimization (FinOps) in Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Pune Division, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and lead complex cloud initiatives.
