Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and ambitious Senior Associate to handle day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare management accounts, and support client reporting and year-end processes in compliance with UK and US accounting standards The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently with international clients, possess strong technical accounting skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of small clients and support Managers on larger and more complex engagements
- Design and implement customized accounting processes for each client
- Oversee day-to-day transaction processing, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and month-end close activities
- Complete month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Proactively manage client finance inboxes and communications
- Process payroll and handle VAT submissions to HMRC
- Prepare management accounts and investor reports
- Support Managers with operational responsibilities and workflow management
- Review own work and assist in reviewing work completed by team members
- Assist in ad-hoc projects such as consolidations, business plans, and due diligence assignments
- Train and onboard new team members to ensure smooth integration
- Build strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

- Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA)



or a strong Semi-Qualified candidate

Experience:

- 3–5 years of experience in UK/US accounting
- Software Knowledge:
- Xero
- QuickBooks

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Advanced Excel capabilities

Soft Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective client coordination abilities
- Proactive learner with a growth mindset
- High attention to detail

Candidate Profile:

- Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Ability to lead engagements and work under pressure in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Keen interest in leveraging technology to improve efficiency and workflows
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools

Work Schedule & Perks:
