About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to help scale our finance and reporting function across both real estate lending and land banking businesses. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, experience managing operational accounting processes, and the ability to thrive in a high-growth startup workplace.

The Senior Accountant will own core accounting cycles, prepare financial statements, manage invoicing and day-to-day bookkeeping activities, support investor and lender reporting, and help build scalable financial processes. The role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable operating across both strategic reporting and transactional accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close

- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with U.S.



GAAP and company accounting policies.

Land Banking Accounting & Invoicing
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and maintain billing schedules.
- Track customer payments, collections, deposits, and account balances.
- Record and reconcile land purchases, sales, customer transactions, fees, and related cash activity.
- Maintain accurate customer and transaction records within accounting systems.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections.

Other Responsibilities
- Support external audits and investor reporting requirements.
- Assist in development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
- Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across finance operations.

Qualifications

- Masters in accounting/finance; CPA/CMA preferred
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in real estate lending, credit, fintech, or financial services preferred
- Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with loan platforms/ERP (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable in a high-growth, hands-on startup environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills; attention to detail
