Role Description This is a full time, on-site role located in Chennai for a Secondary and Senior Secondary English Teacher. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, focusing on both language and literature for grades 6–12. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, designing assessments, evaluating student work, and providing constructive feedback to support academic progress and skill development.

The role involves participating in curriculum planning, maintaining accurate records of student performance, communicating regularly with families and colleagues, and contributing to school events and co-curricular activities.



The teacher is expected to foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in English Teaching and English Literature, with the ability to teach Secondary and Senior Secondary levels effectively.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching certifications or licenses, and experience in Cambridge or similar international curricula.
- Demonstrated skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including aligning objectives, assessments, and learning outcomes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field, preferably with specialization in secondary-level teaching.
- Ability to use a range of instructional strategies, including activity-based and differentiated learning approaches.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-centered education.
- Comfort with educational technology tools for lesson delivery, assessment, and communication.
- Prior experience teaching secondary or senior secondary English in an international or CBSE/Cambridge environment is an advantage.
