Required Skills

Automation

- 4-6 years of hands-on automation experience, including framework design/architecture (not just usage) — POM, hybrid, or data-driven frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium, TestNG.
- Git-based source control, code review ownership.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin, SpecFlow, or similar).

API Testing

- Strong REST API automation experience (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Rest Assured).
- Solid grasp of JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, API gateway concepts.

Data Validation

- Strong SQL for backend/transactional data validation at scale.
- ETL, data warehouse, and cross-service reconciliation experience.

Programming

- Solid coding in Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
- Solid OOP fundamentals applied to framework design.

DevOps &

- CI/CD

- Experience embedding automation into release pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD).
- Familiarity with Docker for building and running containerized test environments.

Mobile Testing

- Hands-on experience with Appium or a comparable mobile automation framework for iOS/Android.

Test Management &

- Defect Tracking

- Proficiency with Jira and a test management tool such as Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail for planning,



traceability, and reporting.

E-commerce Domain

- Experience in Retail, Marketplace, D2C, or B2C e-commerce, with working knowledge of order lifecycle, inventory, promotions, and payments.

AI &

- MCP

- Practical, hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing/development tools.
- Working understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and experience integrating AI agents with test tools, APIs, or environments — not just prompt-based tool usage.

Performance Testing

- Hands-on experience designing and running load/stress/endurance tests using JMeter, k6, or Gatling (not just familiarity with the concept).
- Ability to read and interpret performance metrics (response time, throughput, error rate, resource utilization) and pinpoint bottlenecks.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Leadership &

- Communication

- Proven experience mentoring or leading junior engineers, with strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Good to Have

- Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka/webhooks) for async data validation.
