The Role

We're building an engineering team in Bangalore, and this role is core to that. As a Backend Developer SDE-1, you'll work closely with product managers and fellow engineers to build the systems powering Snapmint's e-commerce team.

What You Own

- Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership
- Strong experience in systems architecture design and development
- Strong experience building single-page and progressive web applications




- Experience using test-driven development practices
- Ability to efficiently manage and build large, complex web applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Ability to use creative thinking to develop innovative solutions to business problems
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

What You Bring

- 1–3 years of experience in a modern backend language — Node.js or Golang and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for Snapmint's platform
- Support and scale digital projects, including client microsites and third-party integrations
- Write and maintain automated test scripts for new features
- Collaborate directly with PMs, designers, and engineers across the stack
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Debug, monitor, and improve system performance in production
