Role & responsibilities:-

Audit proposals received from the sourcing team for technical, commercial, and contractual accuracy, coordinate rectification before PO issuance.

Create Purchase Orders (domestic & import) accurately in the ERP system with all agreed terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.

Obtain and track vendor PO confirmations and align delivery schedules with plant requirements.

Coordinate with finance for timely payments advances, milestones, LC settlements, and balance payments as per PO terms.

Arrange and monitor Third Party Inspection (TPI) / pre-shipment inspections; review and approve inspection reports before dispatch.

Obtain technical approvals and material clearances from plant end-users at key milestones prior to dispatch.

Actively follow up on all open POs from dispatch to delivery to Nigeria; track shipments against agreed TAT and escalate delays.





Conduct vendor site visits to monitor production progress, quality compliance, and dispatch readiness.

Visit plant / project sites in Nigeria to understand end-user requirements and assess material performance.

Act as SPOC for all vendor and plant communications resolving queries, aligning expectations, and ensuring seamless information flow.

Handle all procurement-related queries end-to-end: material tracking, shortage complaints, invoice discrepancies, transit damage, and quality deviations

Preferred candidate profile:-

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration

Must have prior hands-on experience as a Buyer before progressing to a Senior Buyer role direct buying experience is mandatory.

years in procurement with a focus on post-PO activities, import purchasing, and contract execution
